Elisa was born and raised in Calderara di Reno, Italy, a little town in the countryside outside Bologna, known for its vibrant music scene. The Second-born of Southern emigrant parents, she grew up in a modest family. Both she and her sister showed an interest in the arts. Elisa made her stage debut at the age of 4, modelling for her eight years older sister Silvia’s first fashion creation, a crepe paper costume, and won the first prize.
She soon discovered her passion for the performing arts and music. At 16 years old, she attended her first musical theatre course with BSMT in Bologna, although she was unable to pursue further studies at the time due to limited financial resources. Instead, she took private lessons in singing, piano, and dancing while working a 9 to 5 job.
She was fortunate to receive coaching and mentoring from some of the best professionals in Italy and Europe such as Cheryl Porter, John Owen-Jones, Michael Ball. In 2010, she met and began working with Iskra Menarini, former vocalist for Lucio Dalla, who opened up a world of opportunity for her. Passionate about American football, she performed at the stadium on Saturdays, and in 2012, she sang the Italian National Anthem for the American Football European final cup, which was broadcasted on SKY SPORT ITALY.
She developed a keen interest in musical theatre, and from the beginning of her career, Elisa has captivated the hearts of musical enthusiasts with her performances at various venues. Between 2012 and 2015, she appeared in musical theatre productions such as ‘Rent’, ‘Crazy for You’, ‘Spring Awakening’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, and various other smaller productions. In 2015, she graduated in Musical Theatre at ‘Musical in Progress, CAFT’ in Rome under the direction of Chiara Noschese, an experience she describes as academically challenging.
During those years in Rome, she met the Italian composer Paolo Costa. Bonded by a shared passion for Ennio Morricone soundtracks, they collaborated on new music together, releasing songs in Italian (‘Titoli di Coda’, ‘Solo chi é solo’, ‘Ricomincio da qui’), English, and French.
After graduation, Elisa moved to London and immediately made an impact on the performing arts scene. Since then, she has performed in London and across Europe at various venues and cabaret shows, including The Windmill, Twiga Monte Carlo, Hard Rock Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s, The Mayfair, Ricco Lounge, Bunga Bunga, The Aeronaut, Ours, Hard Rock Cafe, The Churchill War Rooms, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and many more.
In 2018, her song “Happiness” served as the soundtrack for the movie ‘Harmonie,’ directed by Juana Jimenez. She continued to gain experience in the film industry by recording the soundtrack for the short movie ’35,’ directed by Juan Diego Puerta Lopez. Since 2020, she has been enhancing her experience as a vocal artist for the film industry by dubbing Italian roles for feature films such as ‘No Time to Die – 007’, ‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’, ‘The House of Gucci’, ‘The Beautiful Game’, ‘James Bond’, ‘The Witcher 3’, and ‘Wreck’. During the 2020 lockdown, she collaborated remotely with Italian artists from around the continent to produce a successful cover of ‘River’ by Joni Mitchell.
She is the founder and band leader of the “Italian Radio Society”, a project that has significantly influenced and focused her life since its inception. Currently, she is touring in Germany for various shows with the rockabilly band “The Firebirds”.
She is delving into fashion and anthropology, broadening her interests and pursuits. As both an inspiration and a role model for self-made artists, she continues to pave the way for others in the industry.
Italian Radio Society
Italian Radio Society is a musical journey back to the essence of Italian vintage tunes. Founded in 2023 in London by Elisa and other fellow Italian expat musicians, the band brings the flavors of la dolce vita to life, inviting the audience to dance to the timeless melodies of Italian classics. With a blend of jazz, swing, rockabilly and Southern Italian folk music IRS aims to transport listeners to an era of elegance and charm reminiscent of the ’50s, delivering an authentic sound with rich arrangements and the inclusion of original instruments like the mandolin. Get ready to sway, sing and groove to the rhythms of Italian romance and nostalgia.

With an extensive experience as a presenter, showgirl, and singer, she has graced stages across the globe, from circuses to cabarets, theaters to musicals, in Germany, the UK, Italy, France, Monte Carlo, and beyond. With a decade-long curricula in the entertainment industry and a repertoire as vast as it can be, Elisa brings an unparalleled performance experience with her powerful voice and bubbly personality.
